European mobility of teachers of the Laboratory Center of Katerini within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program "Pro-active lifestyle"
Within the framework of the European ERASMUS+ KA2 program (2025-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000360193) entitled "Pro-active lifestyle", four teachers from the Katerini Laboratory Center participated in the first transnational mobility of the project, which took place from December 8 to 12, 2025 in Arad, Romania.
The main objective of the "Pro-active lifestyle" program is to promote a healthy, active and sustainable lifestyle among students, emphasizing nutrition, physical activity, environmental awareness and addressing climate change. At the same time, it seeks to exchange good practices, pedagogical tools and innovative methodologies between school organizations from different European countries.
During the mobility, participating teachers took part in organized training sessions, workshops and presentations on topics such as reading and understanding food labels, choosing healthy dietary patterns, calculating the environmental footprint and Body Mass Index (BMI), as well as implementing interactive school health activities for students of different age groups.
Particularly important was the participation of teachers in experiential activities, such as preparing healthy meals, exchanging good school health practices, as well as a visit to an organic farm in the Firiteaz region, where the importance of sustainable agriculture and its connection to a healthy diet was highlighted.
The mobility concluded with a feedback session and awarding of certificates of participation, during which the partners evaluated the actions and defined the next steps of the project. This experience enhanced the professional development of the teachers and creates the conditions for the integration of the acquired knowledge and practices into the educational process of the Katerini Laboratory Center.
